Radio Interview with Former KISS Lead Guitarist Vinnie Vincent, January 2, 1987

Vinnie VincentHere is a interview that even predates KISS Otaku. While in college radio at KGMA at Mankato State University I did a phone interview with former KISS lead guitarist Vinnie Vincent. This interview was for his debut album while touring in support of the album. I am not sure this even got posted on KISS Otaku, might be the first time it has been heard.

Please leave comments and let me know what you think.

  2. Love the Pyro Messiah!
I wish he would come back!
The best non make up era guitarist (and second best overall) Kiss ever had!

Too bad the Invasion didn’t catch on the way it should’ve.

I guess the idea was to try and get fans from both (glam / shredder – hard rock) camps.

I wish the DVD clip featured in Kissology (first show with Vinnie without make up) was expanded to a whole show for Kiss / Vinnie fans to buy.

I prefer Robert to Mark Slaughter any day though.

  6. I saw Mark Slaughter with Nelson last night at Firefest. Poor guy can’t sing very well anymore – maybe he should sue Vinnie for making him impersonate Fleischman – that screeching vocal can’t be good for the vocal chords …… oh sorry it was the other way round wasn’t it in Vinnie’s deluded world.
