Thanks to CDBaby DIY Musician for bringing this to our attention. It appears Facebook has rolled out a new feature that could be very helpful to bands and musicians.
Good news for bands and brands!
Your fans will now be able to tag your band in their Facebook photos. Those photos will show up in the “photos tab” of your band’s Facebook Page (NOT on your wall). And because the person who tags the band doesn’t need to have “Liked” the Page at any point previously, you’ll be able to involve your fans in new ways such as:
* Telling them to shoot video and photos of your concert and tag the band accordingly. Best entry gets free tickets to your next show in town!
* Having fans tag your band in pictures of themselves in the audience, next to tour posters on telephone poles, buying your records in stores, etc.
* Holding an album-cover contest where your fans can comment on tagged entries.
What are some other ways in which Page tagging will help bands promote their music? We’d love to hear your ideas. Please feel free to comment in the section below.

I was just reading about this the other day. It’s badass and about time!
This is great news. I was wondering when this would happen. It is logical.
my website link was wrong in last reply, but this is a great thing to actually get to use, now.
